Day 1 Depart JFK. Meals, drinks and movie on 7 hour flight.  Arrive at International airport in Dakar, Senegal.  Transfer to Hotel. 

Day 2 Walking Tour Ngor fishing village.  View schools, mosque, and fishing village.  An authentic African village off the coast of Senegal.    Tour to Ngor Island.  Motorized canoe trip to this Island.    Excellent picture taking opportunities. Beautiful beaches and the sea food is great. 

Day 3 Goree Island  Infamous inhumane trading center where millions of kidnapped Africans were dispatched to the Americas.  Tour dungeons, listen to the curator’s tales of the travesty which occurred here. 

Day 4 thru Day 6 Rest of the trip features the following options

1- Pink Lake.  Spend a relaxing day at the Beautiful Lake.   Try the water perfect for soaking those sore muscles.  Take the 4 by 4 vehicles up and down the sand dunes.  Visit the local villages and learn about traditional African cultures and religion.  Perfect picture- taking opportunities.  Fantastic shopping for wood products, clothes, and specialized gifts with an African flavor.  Includes lunch    Price $60

2- Animal Bush Tour– An enchanted journey into the African bush. Journey takes you into the hinterland to view giraffes, elephants, hippos, monkeys and a host of other African wildlife.  A must do in Africa.  Includes lunch.   Price $90.00

3-  A day at Malik’s Health Spa.  Enjoy a relaxing massage. Some herbal drinks.  A complete physical assessment and a detailed analysis of what you need to do to get in and maintain good health.  Check out the various natural cures for high blood pressure, obesity, and assorted ailments.

DAY 7 Farewell dinner and naming ceremony.  Our last night in Africa.  Early morning flight to JFK in NYC

Day 1 Depart JFK aboard South African Airway, meals, drinks and movie on 7 hour flight.  Arrive at Yoff International airport in Dakar.  Transfer to Ngor guesthouse. 
Motorized canoe trip to nearby Ngor Island. Perfect picture-taking opportunity of Atlantic Ocean.  Beautiful beach on this Island.   Barbecue on Beach

Day 2 Visit Pink Lake.  View this fascinating Rose Colored body of salt water.  Rumor says this serene lake has hidden healing powersWatch the Senegalese men and women harvest the salt.  Vehicles take us up and down the mountain sand dunes along the coast of the Atlantic Ocean.  Afterwards we visit a nearby Fulani Village.  Excellent farm with beautiful scenery.   Lunch included.  Evening activities include local casino, dance clubs, bars and restaurants. 

Day 3 Senegal Nature Preserve.  An interesting array of wild life. Perfect picture taking opportunity for giraffes, big apes, zebra, antelopes etc.   Four by four jeeps take you through the park on this exhilarating tour of Senegal outback country. Lunch included

Day 4.  Free Day.  Good opportunity to explore your surroundings.  Day trip to local spa for massage and assorted tender loving care for your body.  Beautiful beach out your window.  Or shopping for clothing, jewelry, mask, etc.

Day 6 Overland trip to Gambia 7 hours via.  Welcome to Gambia Dinner upon our arrival

Day 7  Interested in the daily life of African commerce.  Seregunda Gambia’s largest city has the answers.  This fantastic walking tour has us viewing African furniture shops, automotive dealerships and mechanics, tailors, fish and produce sellers, transportation networks and a host of other businesses large and small that make Africa function.  We visit the Seregunda market one of the largest in West Africa.  Here you can purchase shea butter, cloth, jewelry, wood products, beads, powders or anything your heart desires.  Afterwards we visit my tailor where you can have anything you desire made to your specifications. Dinner with an African Family.  Feel free to discuss any issue that comes up including politics, religion, female circumcise, polygamy and marriage in Africa. 

Day  8 Bokoteh Woman’s cooperative.  A local farming cooperative ran by the women of Gambia.  Educational tour on how these women feed the nation in the traditional African way.  

Day 9 Bush Safari 4 wheel motorized jeep takes us on a fantastic journey along the Atlantic coast. Visit Crocodile Pool in Bakau where we meet Charlie the World’s fiercest Crocodile. Then we stop at Timbuktu bookstore where rare and exclusive books are born.  Included in this day is a relaxing beach swim complete with lunch.  We wind up at Tame Fishing Village where we see the hustle of a typical African fish market. 
 
Day 10 Visit to Banjul Gambia’s seat of government.  Highlights include the visit to the Arch 22 memorial, the Gambia National Museum and the Albert market for the shopping.  We close the afternoon at a typical Gambia restaurant where we sample some of the local cuisine. 

Day 11 Free Day.  Spend a relaxing day at one of my favorite beaches in Africa.  Perfect for reading, relaxing, writing and meditation.  Nighttime Activity Sizzlers beach club.  New and lively club right on the beach.  Relax in the lounge chairs or beachfront carousel where you can enjoy drumming or Kora playing.  The food and hospitality here are greatAfterwards let’s check out the fascinating nightlife and SeneGambia resort area. Nightclub, casinos, lots of shopping and food from everywhere.  A traveler’s delight

Day 11 village trip.  A day in a traditional Gambian village.   Learn about the challenges facing woman and children here.   Visit with a village chief.  Tour farms, schools where gifts of tee shirts, books or pencils can be left.   

Day 12 Free day. 
 
Day 13 Return to Senegal Transatlantic 8 hour flight to JFK in New York City.  Visit Malik’s health spa for free massage, dinner, and health assessment before our flight back to America.
