Welcome to 1st World Family, LLC Web Site
Africa's Number One Touring Service
1 st World Family is loosely formed collective of activists who are committed to the education and uplift of humanity. Our major activity is promoting tours to West Africa. Other interests include proclaiming healthy living through vegetarianism, meditation, exercise, journal writing and prayer. We are available for poetry readings, fashion shows, slide shows and lectures on our past trips to Africa.
Our current plans include informing and educating the American public of doing business in Africa, analyzing the feasibility of adopting children from Africa, bringing high school and college students to Africa and linking up with other non-profits with similar goals and objectives. 1 st World Family can link private investors with African business partners in transportation, hotel construction, import & export of clothes, cars, televisions, appliances, and tourism.
The following are the tours we offer.
The Grass Roots Senegal/Gambia Tour - is designed for travelers who do not want the traditional tour experience. The group size is limited to 10 people. Throughout my years of promoting tours to Africa or assisting with other groups I had my concerns about groups losing their intimacy or having Disney World type of experiences. I wanted people to view West Africa like I do. Therefore we stray away from tour companies and live and travel in Africa like I have been doing the past 10 years. I attempt to link my travelers with business people on the continent as well as having more intimate contact with the people. I added an extra week to this tour and reduced the cost significantly. Accommodations are in my apartment in Gambia, 3 star hotels, (Best Weston-Howard Johnson’s) or with African families. The choice of lodging is left up to the consumer.
Touch the Soil Tour. - If you just need to touch the soil of the Motherland this tour is designed with you in mind. This tour is for college students, artist, activist, educators or anyone with limited funds who want to visit the motherland. You will stay in my apartment or a host family. Food costs are $25.00 for the week. This includes breakfast, lunch, and dinner.
Extended Stay program – We are always looking for people who are interested in staying in Africa for six months to a year. If you have $2000-$3000 dollars and just need a break call me. We always need people to monitor our apartments, help us oversee our import & export activities, coordinate our tourism business, and stay in intimate contact with our friends on the continent.
Introduction To Africa – This is our most successful Tour. We have been producing this tour or have been part of helping others with it for the past six years. We advise the first time traveler or tourist who desire to travel in American style comfort and security to take this trip. Transportation, hotels, and tours are done in a manner of professionalism and satisfaction that the traveler is accustomed to. Opportunity to shop for wood products, tie dye material, drums, beads, material, and clothes. We visit schools, historic sites, enjoy the beautiful beaches and people of West Africa. Host countries are Senegal, Gambia, or Ghana.
On this site are some recent articles by people who have gone on my African Tours, Upcoming Trips, and pictures we have taken in the Motherland. Feel free to contact us with your comments and concerns.
